Pádraig Ó Céidigh
Pádraig is Chairperson of the Audit & Risk Committee at the GAA. He has extensive board and committee experience, including as previous Chairperson of Shannon Development, and a board member at RTÉ, CROI, Board Iascaigh Mhara, Fáilte Ireland West and Chair of the National GAA Research Board. He is also patron to a number of charities.
Pádraig served as an Independent Senator (nominated by the Taoiseach) and member of the Joint Committee on Transport, Tourism and Sport from 2016-2020. He chaired the Joint Oireachtas Committee on Irish Water, drafted and introduced the Perjury Bill which is now enacted into legislation, and spoke at United Nations in New York in supporting Ireland's application for a seat at the UN Security Council.
He is Adjunct professor of Entrepreneurship and Business in NUI Galway, was Chair of the Business School Advisory Board, and is an alumni of NUIG and Harvard Business School. He was awarded Business Alumni of the Year by NUIG.
He is also founder of a number of other companies in the following sectors: publishing, music, aircraft maintenance, outsourcing, homecare and internet marketing.
