Our first Board Secretaries' Network event (in conjunction with the Chartered Governance Institute Ireland) will be a roundtable session built around the following agenda:

• The role of the modern Board Secretary
• Key issues and challenges for Secretaries in 2025
• Navigating between the Chairperson/Board and the Executive
• Board-Executive Relationship
• Board information needs, requirements and good practices
• Board portals
• Board Performance Reviews
• External Committee Members
• Processes
  • Minutes
  • Decisions required between meetings
  • Filings with the CRO and RBO
• AOB

The session will include inputs from Dr Tom Ward, Conn Cleary (CGI Ireland) and a CGI Ireland member. Participation and sharing of practices will be encouraged from attendees.
