The Board Secretaries' Network is run in association with the ICSA - The Chartered Governance Institute.

The opening Network event of 2021 will focus on specific issues and challenges arising for Boards in the context of Covid-19 and looking ahead to emerging from the pandemic, including the resumption of 'normal' Board and Committee activity. This will be informed by the results of a Chartered Governance Institute  survey of Company and Board Secretaries in late 2020. 

The event will also consider some new and emerging areas for focus by Boards, including risk appetite statements, assurance arrangements, and diversity. The Board Secretary can play a critically important role in helping Boards and their members in these and other areas.

As always with such events, Network members are encouraged to raise any particular issue they would like to see raised on the day for discussion. They can do so by contacting Tom Ward (tward@ipa.ie).
