Conferences & Briefings
Board and Committee members, Senior Executives and staff of Forum members are invited to a series of highly relevant briefing events, conferences and roundtable discussions. The events feature expert speakers addressing key themes of interest, with opportunities for member networking and discussion. These themes include board effectiveness, governance and culture, risk appetite, internal controls and assurance, and the roles and responsibilities of Board members. The Forum also includes a Chairpersons' Network and a Board Secretaries' Network.
The Forum comprises a significant number of member organisations, including state bodies and agencies, government departments, higher education institutions, local authorities and not-for-profit organisations. Forum events thus provide the basis for valuable peer networking for Chairpersons, Board members and Senior Executives.
Members can receive customised in-house governance advice, board and committee training, related consultancy services and access to advice and support from IPA Governance Specialists.
The Governance Forum website is a repository for presentations and reports relating to Forum events, as well as governance codes and guidance.
